Senior year is over, and Lucy has the perfect way to celebrate: tonight, she's going to find Shadow, the mysterious graffiti artist whose work appears all over the city. He's out there somewhere—spraying color, spraying birds and blue sky on the night—and Lucy knows a guy who paints like Shadow is someone she could fall for. Really fall for. Instead, Lucy's stuck at a party with Ed, the guy she's managed to avoid since the most awkward date of her life. But when Ed tells her he knows where to find Shadow, they're suddenly on an all-night search around the city. And what Lucy can't see is the one thing that's right before her eyes. (Goodreads)

I've barely had time to read for fun lately but I made Graffiti Moon a priority as soon as I realized that it would expire in a few days.  I've been dying to read it ever since I first heard about the plot because I love anything that has to do with art, and books that take place over a short period of time are the best.  Lucy and Ed's relationship started out rocky but I love how they discover more about each other while chasing Shadow.  It reminded me a lot of Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist since there were a lot of mishaps along the way.  I wish Ed's Banksy inspired paintings were real because Crowley's descriptions of them were beautiful.  I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves art and adventure.

  1. This is definitely not the kind of book I would normally pick up, but the synopsis and cover art are very tempting. I also think it’s an interesting concept: teens out searching for a graffiti artist. It’s not an overdone idea, that’s for certain! I may have to give this a shot! Thanks for the review.

  2. I know EXACTLY what you mean about wishing the graffiti were real -- the descriptions were so so so gorgeous that I just want to see them! Loved this book.

  3. God! I know! I'm dying to see Ed's art. It sounds so amazing. I think I might have to go through a graffiti seeking obsession for a little while.
